During the eighth edition of one of the most unique kitesurfing events in Europe, sports, perseverance, and social impact come together. The participants embark on an impressive journey along the Dutch coast while raising funds for the Heart Foundation.

During this unique journey, hundreds of kitesurfers will cover more than 130 kilometers from Hoek van Holland to Den Helder. Wind, waves, currents, and weather conditions make each edition different and demand the utmost from participants. The journey is not only a physical challenge but also a mental test where preparation, experience, and perseverance are essential.

The eighth edition of Hoek to Helder will take place within the wind window from August 22 to November 1, 2026. The final start day will be determined by the conditions at sea, with safety always being the top priority. It is precisely this dependence on wind and weather that makes each edition unique.

In ten years, Hoek to Helder has grown into the bucket list event for kitesurfers from all over Europe. But behind this athletic achievement lies a greater purpose.
