Alliander felt that the existing corporate website, the customer site, and the recruitment site were due for replacement. The requirements? Three new, accessible, and robust websites for any device that are easy to fill, update, monitor, and expand on the back end.

During discussions, it became clear that Alliander wanted to update both the front- and back-end of the three essential websites. Considering the new content management, Alliander explicitly chose Drupal, valued for its IT controls, updates and extensibility, while remaining straightforward for internal users.
