# HellaHome: a new platform for online GP video consults Speaking to your GP remotely and receiving an initial diagnosis is now possible with HellaHome, the video consultation platform developed by Dawn Technology. - Zorg **Discovery**## A response to healthcare challenges The coronavirus pandemic is on the minds of healthcare providers, and costs are steadily rising and staffing is underutilized. Against this backdrop, remote diagnostics is one of the solutions. **Design & development**## Secure video calls Through the HellaHome platform, doctors and patients can see and hear each other by appointment. For this purpose, we built a custom Jitsi-based video conferencing environment with a custom design. Because Jitsi operates on self-defined strings or names, HellaHome generates a unique, non-traceable video link for each consultation. This ensures privacy and security for both doctors and patients. HellaHome automatically synchronizes with the doctor’s calendar and also offers the option of sending invitations and reminder emails. **Conclusion**## Saving time without compromising quality HellaHome gives healthcare professionals an efficient tool to see and talk to patients, while patients can easily consult their doctor from home. It saves time and reduces costs, while maintaining the quality of the consultation.
