Who will be there?

None other than our very own Sander Bol will take the stage as a speaker on behalf of Dawn Technology. In his presentation, he will delve into the evolution of functional programming within PHP.

Ten years ago, functional programming was the trend at PHP conferences. Many developers enthusiastically got to work, but in practice, it struggled to gain traction at the time; it simply felt like swimming against the current. In the meantime, the PHP core developers haven’t been sitting idle behind the scenes. Every new release brought features that strengthened the foundations for functional programming. Sander argues that it’s time for a reevaluation. Using a traditional application as an example, he demonstrates step by step how the updates of the past decade are changing everything. Maybe the revolution will succeed this time?
