Within the ICT cooperative SURF, universities, universities of applied sciences, vocational colleges, university hospitals, and research institutions collaborate to purchase and develop digital services. We are a permanent development partner for SURF.
Knowledge is the lifeblood of education and science. Its digitalization is a key priority of SURF. The digital infrastructure, which must serve many different institutions, must constantly evolve and remain secure.
From the start, SURF has found the external expertise it needs in us. This includes SURFmedia: the extensive, on-demand and live-streaming service used by approximately 160 educational and research institutions to share videos. For example, we developed eduID, an identity app granting secure access to protected systems.
We also advised on optimal search technology within SURF’s databases and developed several proofs of concepts for this purpose. For an international collaboration platform for lecturers and scientists, we contributed to infrastructure, architecture, interface, and integrations.
