An ERP platform built around real-world operations
Together with a multidisciplinary team from BUKO, we first mapped out the entire operation, not just at a high level, but in detail. From the moment a request is received to the installation and inspection of traffic measures and their eventual removal. Based on these processes, we developed BOSS.
Today, BOSS is the central hub of the organisation. The platform supports the entire operational process and connects every department and branch within a single environment. Requests from municipalities, event organisers and infrastructure companies are processed in BOSS and converted into quotations, assignments and schedules. Through work queues and system integrations, the platform then coordinates operational execution, including equipment management and logistical preparation. Procurement, invoicing and revenue reporting are also largely handled within BOSS, with relevant information automatically transferred to various connected financial systems.
Inventory and capacity management are key components of the platform. BOSS provides real-time insight into the equipment available at each branch and flags potential shortages at an early stage. This allows BUKO to anticipate issues more quickly and safeguard project continuity. The system also supports on-site quality controls. Employees can record directly in the platform whether work has been carried out correctly and whether equipment meets the required standards.
BOSS also plays a central role in communication. Through integrations with social platforms and route-planning systems, road users are automatically informed about roadworks and traffic measures in their area. This means the platform not only supports BUKO’s internal operations but also helps improve the information provided to road users.
BOSS was developed as a long-term Scrum project, with the BUKO and Dawn Technology teams working closely together. Since the platform went live in 2020, it has been continuously developed. New features and additional integrations are introduced incrementally, ensuring that the system continues to grow alongside the organisation.
