GewoonGers partnered with Dawn Technology to develop a digital solution that enables customers to configure custom steel doors online while supporting the entire production process behind the scenes. The goal was to create a scalable platform that digitally connects every step, from customer selection to final installation.

Creating that simplicity for customers requires a sophisticated system behind the scenes.
The company needed a solution that would allow customers to configure their own doors while simultaneously feeding all internal processes, including measurements, production, logistics and customer service.
The platform also needed to support future growth by accommodating new door styles, accessories and design options. At the same time, it had to be built on reliable data models to ensure that every visual representation accurately reflected the final product.
The requirement quickly became clear: GewoonGers needed more than a configurator. It needed a complete digital ecosystem capable of supporting every stage of the customer journey.
We developed the first version of the online configurator and integrated it directly into the website.
Customers can now design their own steel door and immediately schedule a measurement appointment. While the experience appears simple and intuitive on the surface, every visualisation is generated from multiple layers of product data to accurately represent all available product variations.
As the organisation continued to grow, the platform evolved alongside it.
Based on feedback from both customers and employees, we introduced new door types, additional accessories and continuous improvements to the configuration process.
Beyond the customer-facing platform, we also developed a dedicated application for factory employees. This application is connected directly to the customer record and automatically delivers all required technical information to production teams.
