Rotterdam Mobility Centre helps people stay mobile through smart group transport solutions. Dawn Technology developed a tailor-made mobile platform that makes booking, tracking and managing rides simple, accessible and reliable for both passengers and drivers.
RMC provides additional transport for elderly people and passengers with disabilities on behalf of multiple municipalities. Reliability, safety and ease of use are central to the service. Every part of the journey must feel effortless, from reservation to arrival at the destination.
The challenge lay in designing a digital platform that truly supports this mission. The app had to be intuitive for users with limited digital skills, while still offering advanced features such as real-time ride tracking, flexible booking options and personal travel preferences. On top of that, many users rely on older smartphones or tablets passed down by family members. The platform therefore had to run smoothly on less powerful devices, without compromising usability.
Dawn Technology developed a mobile app that allows users to book rides in just a few steps. With a single tap, passengers select their pickup and destination, indicate whether they travel alone or with assistance and specify whether they need a wheelchair, rollator or companion. The app provides a clear overview of planned trips, enables real-time driver tracking and allows passengers to rate both the ride and the driver afterward.
To ensure stable performance inside moving vehicles, we developed additional software that continuously updates the application during rides. This ensures accurate trip data and real-time status updates for both users and RMC’s internal operations.
The app was optimised for a wide range of device generations and made available on iPhone, iPad and Android. The interface design was created by Hike One and translated into a robust, accessible digital platform by Dawn Technology.
The RMC app simplifies assisted transport and makes mobility truly accessible for a broad target group. Passengers can book and manage their journeys independently, while RMC benefits from a stable and scalable digital platform that supports daily operations.

Our Smart Family Buddy (OSFB) supports young families in Rotterdam-IJsselmonde in leading a healthy lifestyle. The consortium behind OSFB, led by Erasmus MC and including TU Delft, with co-funding from NOW, was looking for an AI solution that always provides reliable answers. Dawn Technology delivered this solution with its specially developed White Label AI RAG platform.
CRUSE Control is the reference self-evaluation app for chronic urticaria, built by Dawn Technology together with the Charité Institute of Allergology and the international UCARE network. Over 20,000 patients across 38 countries use the application daily to track symptoms and prepare for clinic visits. Dawn Technology integrated a reliable AI assistant into the app to safely and accurately answer patient questions based exclusively on approved medical sources.
